Virginia Wedding Venue

Though I was born in the Berkshires and currently live here, I actually grew up in Virginia, and that’s where my family still resides. When my sister told me about this insanely beautiful new wedding venue in Lexington, I knew I needed to check it out!

The renderings on Instagram of The Seclusion (it was still in the process of being built) quickly showed me that 1) it was going to be stunning, and 2) it was located in my “happy place”…near Collierstown/Blacks Creek. I felt an instant connection! And when I started speaking with the owners, Trish and Brian, I knew we had to do something fun here.

It turned out that they were building the property as a place for their daughter to get married (among other things, naturally!) and were looking for a planner to help…so I jumped at the chance! And while I was there, visions of doing a styled shoot popped into my head, which is where this all came about. But I didn’t just want to do a shoot…I wanted to bring my favorite team down to collaborate with some of the best VA wedding professionals and produce a styled shoot alongside a launch party to show off this amazing new space. And that’s just what we did!

We were there for a week, visiting local purveyors, taking in the bucolic scenery…basically going on the most wonderful, elevated field trip…so I’ll have to share this in a few different parts.

But for now, I hope you enjoy these images of the unparalleled Seclusion, located in the mountains of Lexington, Virginia! Oh, what I would give to go back today…
